How to become a member
ISIE is currently working to evolve into a more active networking organization for those interested in world’s fair scholarship. Membership is based upon the principles of community and collaboration and open to anyone interested in the study of international expositions, past, present, or future. Hence, we welcome members from all over the world, and from various academic ranks and disciplines, as well as those in related professions and enthusiasts.
Members play a central role in moving the organization forward and making ISIE a vibrant institute that leads in defining and setting new directions for scholarship, history, practice, design and innovation of international expositions.
Those who join ISIE will be able to collaborate, interact, and innovate with fellow scholars and enthusiasts and eventually receive announcements of expo-related events, access to recordings of past ISIE events, a networking directory of ISIE members and their interests, and the ability to participate in ISIE-sponsored grants and other activities.
ISIE membership and ISIE website resources are free. Symposium participation fees will vary year to year according to format. Discounts will be available to student members.
To apply for membership, please register by clicking the button below. You should include your professional title, your affiliation (workplace or academic institution), a 100-200-word bio paragraph and up to six keywords that describe your research/professional interests to allow like-minded ISIE members to find you. Your application, once submitted, will be reviewed and you will be notified of your status within ten days. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
