States, Stories, and Structures: Understanding the Power of Expos

On July 31st 2025, ISIE was hosted by the Swiss Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka for a special program titled "States, Stories, and Structures: Understanding the Power of Expos." The event brought together committee members César Corona, Charles Pappas, and Lisa Schrenk—three experts whose work reflects the core dimensions of World Expos: diplomacy, historical evolution, and architectural storytelling. Through engaging presentations and discussion, the session explored how Expos serve as platforms for national messaging, global dialogue, and enduring cultural impact. The event was attended by approximately 30 commissioner generals and deputy directors of national thematic pavilions at the Expo.
